MATTAR PULAO - Rice and peas

MATTAR PULAO -  مٹر پلاو


Soak 1/2 KILO BASMATI RICE in water for an hour at minimum
Heat 1 CUP CLARIFIED BUTTER
add:
         2 CARDAMONS slight opened
         2 CLOVES
         2 1" LONG PIECES OF CINNAMON STICKS
         1/2 TEASPOON MACE POWDER
         1/2 TEASPOON NUTMEG POWDER
         1 TABLESPOON WHOLE BLACK CUMIN
add the rice after draining it and stir it in nicely; now add
         1/2 KILO FRESH SHELLED GREEN PEAS
add:  2-3 CUPS OF WATER and cook on low flame until ready.
Separately temper sliced onions in clarified butter to garnish on rice.
Best eaten with Murgh ka Saalan.
